Chain Tensioners

I've used these on the last couple of builds and what a difference it makes. No pulling on the wheel or "Walking" the chain tight..... Just a couple turns of the ratchet and and it stays put. This particular style gives you a larger surface to tighten the wheel to the frame (No need for oversized washers). They are machined to fit in the drop out.

Looks like the hole goes onto the dropout,tighten it up aligning with your chain of course.The chain runs along on the bottom between the two grooves? Nice find by the way!

The raised channel part fits inside your drop out. Put your wheel nuts on loosely to hold the tensioners in place. Turn the screw on the backside of the tensioner to draw the wheel back. Tighten wheel.

Looks like these are for the dropouts on your bike. The axle goes through the round rather flat part and the other end butts up against the end of your drop outs. It makes it so your axle can be adjusted with the nut on the end. If you tighten or loosen that nut it will move the axle forward or backward. This is no way intended to rub up against the chain. I wish I could find a picture to show you but this isn't what WE think of when we think chain tensioners. Hope this helps.

Nice find Red,this will make it a lot easier for the noobs with problems attaching and adjusting the kit tensioner.It seems like theirs a new post everyday with someone having trouble with their chain tensioner.This make things alot simpler.
