chain case or gear case?

Does anyone know if I am supposed to use any kind of gear grease or oil in this type transmission? It is not a belt drive. the picture is in the stock muffler thread. Thanks for any information on this transmission. I can't find any info on it other tha you can buy the whole transmission for about $50.00 on Ebay

now as for that drive i'd get rid of it an get a 4G belt drive for it those chain drives are an do look very weak the 4G costs a fair bit more than "$50" but so worth it it's not even funny here's the 4G drive you need for that engine http://www.gasbike.net/100-Tooth-Belt-Transmission.htm

I will upgrade to the belt drive after I get this build lined out and running right. The only thing I have heard is that the motor I have has the tapered 5/8" shaft and I do not know if Gas bike has a belt drive to fit the tapered shaft. Let me know if they do or not.

that's why i left the link for gas bike because they deal in tapered shaft engines
