Central Pa. Rally

Thanks Jay and Bonnie. The rally was great, we had a good time. The weather was perfect. I am surprised by the amount of people that attended this year. Other than a few breakdowns, everything went well.

Jackie and I had a real nice time yesterday. Weather couldn't have been better. It was nice to put a face to the names. I'll remember the faces, but not the names. It was great to see everyone, thanks for the hospitality! Dan

Glad you could come & I'm still eating what's left of Jackie's cookies.

It was a great event, and it was nice meeting so many people I've conversed with here on these pages. Jay and Bonnie were fabulous hosts, and I'm lookig forward to next year's event.
I took 86 photos at the event, and I'm going to post a seletion of them, starting with some Whizzers.
First pic is of Jay on his 1949 Whizzer. The second photo is of Jay on his '49 and Quenton on his unrestored 1948 Whizzer. The third pic is of a gentleman whose name I didn't get on his unrestored '46 Whizzer. Photos four and five are of my 2005 Whizzer NE-5 (black & cream) and my brother Jim's 2000 Whizzer WC-1 (red).

Here are some more photos. First is one of FlyByTaco's bikes, and the second is YodaBob's GruBee-powered Cool Breeze. The third is Fossil's HF Greyhound-powered '57 Schwinn Corvette with a Q-Matic drive, and the fourth is Cory's chopper. The fifth pic is Design Logic's "Da Bomb", powered by a Honda GX50 with Staton drive.

But wait, there's more...
There were a number of EZ Motorbikes at the event, and the first pic is of Jay's "Blue Bomber". The second photo is of my "Bluebird" (a Sun Retro Classic Cruiser) and the third is Quenton's EZ Motorbike (the prototype). The fourth pic is of RusticoRay's EZ Motorbike (with Fossil sitting behind). The last shot is unabashed self-promotion.

Even more...
A group heads out for a ride in photo one. Photo two is Jay's 1999 Whizzer, photo three is the unrestored '46 Whizzer and photo four is OCCStingray's (Matt's) OCC Stingray. The last shot is of the end-of-day line up of bikes.

WOW! What a fabulous turnout of people and bikes!

I popped a spoke on my ride on Friday and didn't attend because I thought I'd be bored not having a bike to ride......obviously, that was a mistake in judgment on my part! I'm pretty sure I could have had fun just drooling at all the neat rides and talking to all the riders.

I've already got next years date penciled into my calendar.

how bout all the mb,ers from pa showing up at the next thunder in the valley in jhonstown some bikers dont have the cash to fix thier bikes or buy a bike after selling thier old one for financial resons like myself and theese mbs are a good way to (scratch the proverbial itch)

You did make a bad call! I had two bikes there and couldn't ride either one because of my knee. I spent the day in the repair shop helping out where I could. You would have had your choice of a 2000 Whizzer with ALL the engine upgrades or the Harbor Freight Q-Matic build. They are both pictured in Kilroy's posts. Thanks to a couple of test pilots the HF build now has 34 miles on it! Two different people said they hit 40+ mph and it's not even broken in yet. usflg
Don't make the same mistake next year!!!

Jim

PS I don't like going over 35 mph on my bikes but it is nice to know that it has more in the tank.
