CDI, Build Your Own?

I'm having current problems with stock CDI's and would lilke to build one of my own, but I'm not to experianced with electrical stuff. So if someone could make a somewhat simple procedure it would be greatly appreciated, And yes I have read the poll ROLL YOUR OWN CDI, and it didn't seem to be much of a help for me. Thanks to anyone who could help!

Read the "Roll your own CDI" thread, the schematic is on page 43 I think. There should be enough details there for you to get it done, and the guys there will probably answer any questions you have....

See also the thread entitled "modified cdi & cr80 coil" in the "hi performance tips" section, the last few pages of. Note, the redrawn schematic in the "roll ur own cdi" thread has 1 small error (a connection not drawn in) in the kathode section, as pointed out by Proffessor Dave. My origonal hand drawn schemtic in both threads shows the correct connections. Cheers
