Cool idea. I'll bet it would work with very fine sand and/or aluminum oxide powder too. I have a small Badger air brush like tool called an 'Air Eraser' which uses aluminum oxide. I've used to etch glass and clean small parts. I also made a bigger version using a blow gun and a small glass jar. The principle is the same but the tool in your link would be better for bigger parts. Thanks for sharing, Curtis. I might have to give that a try real soon.

walnut shells work better on carbs it does not etch the aluminum or brass used for the jets and seats. And with walnut shells if some does wind up in the motor it will not hurt anything because the walnut shells are softer then all the metals used in the motor.
