Can't get jug over piston rings.

Does anybody have any advise on how to get the jug over the piston rings? I've broken three rings trying. Do I need to get a ring compressor for it?
This is my first time messing with piston/jug so I don't know if it's me or the engine.
I sprayed a bit of WD-40 on it, but that didn't help any.
I can make a video if that would help.

I guess I need to educate myself on engines more....I didn't know about the locating pins ugh. Oh well, now I know! Thanks for your help!
