I had three wheels I laced up that needed truing. I’ve been using a buddy’s fixture, but decided to build my own. All scrap I had laying around the shop. It’s fully adjustable and will handle most wheel diameters, rim widths and axle lengths. Plus I built it so that I can tweak a mounted rim. Someday I’ll take it apart and paint it.
Threw a quick coat of paint on it Saturday, (not pretty, but should help keep it from rusting). Laced up another wheel tonight after work and trued it up, worked great! I should have built this years back
Changed it up just a little. I had to modify the center mount by flipping it over and cutting and redrilling to accommodate a larger diameter tire. (Was rubbing a little) works better this way.
