bt80 will not start

i bought a bt80 months ago for a extreme project build now i hooked up everything as the manual and several videos suggested but low and behold when i hit the start button all i receive is a audable click , the pull stat works but not the electric start ..is it common for these motors to have a reversed wire somewhere in the harness that im missing
 
Welcome to the forum, first I would check the battery to make sure it has a good charger and good connections. Manually turn the starter drive to make sure the starter will turn.
