Brake switch replacement

I have this brake/turn signal light on both of my MB's. However I've had two of the stock brake switches fail or go intermittent. Tired of wondering if the cager behind me knows I am stopping, I have installed this switch setup. Shown installed with without switch enclosure.
Brake switch wire has to be extended.

Good idea! That should work well. Is the switch weather resistant? That's the only thing I see that might cause an issue.

I'm not to concerned about the switch being watertight. The cheap control that it hooks to isn't even weathertight. I avoid riding in bad weather, but have been caught in the rain a few times.
Mabey I should work on a waterproof control.

Found switchs on ebay(where I buy most of my bike stuff). Cost $4 for 10 switches plus $3.50 shipping. If you would like one, Pm me and I'll drop one in the mail N/C.

I like that brake light switch- elegant in its simplicity and looks like a lot easier to install than what I came up with. Nice work.

Thanks Houghmade,
Simple is my speciality, however simplicity is not always the best. Time will tell. Your bike is one of about 6 pic's of MB's I keep pinned up in my shop.
