I've looked at getting lightweight leaf springs for a trailer, and they're hard to come by, and it looks the same for anybody wanting an Indian type fork.
But I've got a nidea, and wonder if anyone has actually done it already. One arm of a composite bow. You can get them in varying thicknesses and draw weights, so they might be suitable.
