Bike wont start

So my bike broke down, and i found out the woodruff key was missing, so i just grabbed a new one and popped it in, then the clutch started working normaly again, but now it almost starts but just not quite, i hear that spudder sound like when it starts normally but it just can't quite start, what should i do?

I may have jumped the gun. Since you didn't answer the "Which one" part of my question, we should verify: What kind of engine do you have?
The Chinese HT engines have 4 Woodruff keys.
So from your description, it sounds like you have spark and at least some fuel if by "spudder sound" you mean you can hear it firing.
Can you verify any of that?

How long did you leave it sitting before replacing the key? If it sat for a while, a dirty carburetor could be the culprit.
