Yes, there are VERY few left. Saw one a few years ago messing about at the Bullhead City AZ airport. From the first pic's I was in love when they came out. Pitty the execution never matched the potential.

Beautiful aircraft. I've always loved canards.
Several years ago I got to fly a Rutan Velocity:

Lovely 4 person airplane that does 200mph with the same motor a Cessna uses to get 140mph. It is pretty tight inside, with clamshell doors.

The joystick is between the front seats and takes very little pressure and almost no movement to get response. Once off the ground you do not need to use the rudder, the tail just follows.

I was surprised how bad the front visibility was. Even with no engine in front a large dash was needed for full instruments.

One of the downsides of pusher props is their susceptibility to damage from rocks and gravel on the runway. Dirt fields are definitely out of the question.

Awesome Aircraft. I've been an air traffic controller since 1975 and enjoy seeing unique aircraft

I have seen them flying overhead when I lived in the Phoenix area. I had hoped the Starship would replace the King Air.
