my grandfather worked a lowly factory job and supported a stay-at-home wife & family, paid for a house, & had a new car every 3 or 4 years - my father did the same

those things the wealthy start up are cash cows that provide nothing like anything that could be called a job, since they fail to give employees any amount that could be considered a living wage as we had in the past

manual transmissions are not mentioned at all in CA law - only certain automatics are subject to fees & licensing - look at dmv reg230

It's nobody's responsibility but your own to provide you a living wage. You probably identify with those who believe they are victims of those greedy rich people. It's completely opposite- they're victims of the very government they voted in to tax the rich more - it just backfired right back on them because they rich they taxed suddenly didn't have extra cash to give them full time hours, bonuses, and higher wages.

You wanna see what redistribution of wealth and entitlement looks like on a much larger scale? Go live in Venezuela..

reg230 is just the registration form for an MB operated on public roadways. Says right on it that if you answer no to any question, then your bike is not defined by VC406.
VC406a defines motorized bicycles as needing automatic transmissions. It doesn't say anything about manuals because that would be redundant. I'm happy the govt doesn't yet have a full grasp on this small piece of the pie. I think these laws governing MBs are stupid to begin with, but the law's the law. I doubt 'redistribution of wealth' covers pay rates so low that it takes three full-time jobs to support a family. When I worked, I got $275/hour and $4K per lecture, I often felt overpaid even though I was pretty much irreplaceable.

Current banking laws require that mortgage payments total no more than 30% of income. Seems a persons income should allow for buying a home.

I also hope there are no changes in bike laws : )

Heck no!! If you're irreplaceable in this world it means you can command your salary. This is what I'm talking about!! Unfair to tax irreplaceable people more per dollar lest they take their business elsewhere, and they do. 275 per hour is pretty impressive... Bad@ss!! So you felt overpaid... Didn't you ever feel overtaxed?

Also, I now understand your point of view on 406 from your post on the other thread. I don't agree still, but I understand what you're saying and it got me thinking about it. The law itself is badly written anyway.
