Auto Shifter on eBay

Wow is that thing ugly! Really, why would anyone _not_ want to shift their bike themselves?

Adjusting an IGH is totally easy and that device isn't going to make a shifter bike more or less legal. It's just another thing to break.
 
I haven't read a law yet which states gears can't shift automatically in the USA. Some state's laws say the operator can't shift engine driven gears but none them say it can't be done automatically. Currently the way the laws in the USA are worded a legal loophole is available.
