Are the expansion pipes gonna do the same thing?

I dont really want to spend the 90$ after shipping on the sick bike parts expansion pipe. Are the other pipes going to give the same results if I jet to them?
 
What other pipes are you referring to?
I've run several pipes on my bike, nothing performs like the right expansion chamber.
 
I'd say just make sure you have a pipe that's tuned right for your engine displacement. Also, the length of pipe between the chamber and exhaust will affect the powerband. As long as you get a pipe that meets the desired criteria, it doesn't matter what brand. Also, like you said, tune the jetting to the pipe to get the most out of it.
 
from everything i read & understand, the displacement doesn't determine the expansion chamber as much as where the the power band is wanted.
also how wide you want the power band.

in fact i just pulled up my expansion chamber design program.
there isn't a spot to put in cc's.
 
CC's may not directly be part of the calculation, but other factors which are a derivative of the displacement will have an effect on the expansion chamber's working.
