Alternate fuels, alcohol and two stroke oil

Hey Y'all,

Got a question. The military has a set of engines that can run on diesel, transmission fluid, oil, or any combo of the above.

Could our 2 strokes be ran on alcohol and 2 stroke oil in a pinch.usflg
 
Yes, but it requires major carb mods since alcohol is much less energy dense and needs very different jetting.
I had a flat track CanAm on methanol back in the day and it ran HARD!
Loved how the intake would ice up on humid days from the evaporation rate at full throttle...
 
No the compression is too low . What's the matter no gas money ? Can't come up with
1.2 JIGG-A-WATTS McFly? LMAO

You CAN run much more compression, and race motors do since they are purpose built, but almost any engine will run with rich enough jetting.
Alcohol allows more compression, but does NOT require it.
