Adjusted my carb needle

After breaking in my bike on 16:1 pre mix I started running Red Line synthetic @ 50:1. It ran just fine on the 16:1 mix, but after switching to 50:1 it seemed a little harder starting, and the top end, if anything was less.

My spark plug looked dark so I decided to drop the needle 1 position to lean it out some. Now the clip is next to the top. Now it starts like right now, and I think it's running better on the top end too.

Which carb is it? How's the plug look now? Which plug are you running?

It's the standard screw top carb for a 48 cc.

I'm running a NGK BP6HS and I just started running Red Line synthetic 50:1 after breaking in

The plug looks pretty dark to me.

Seems like my main jet might be rich? I don't know what it has in it now. Never checked.

Not sure how the needle makes much difference, I'm usually running WFO.

That looks pretty rich, even has deposits. Maybe a smaller jet, since WFO seems to be what youre reading. I'm at the other end of the spectrum after rejetting thrice and I also ride WFO.

So is it safe to assume these things come from the factory jetted fairly rich?

What size jet are people using in their 48cc at sea level?
