I understand generally how to gauge a chain. But I have no idea what makes a chain "industrial," whether industrial chains of the same gauge are acceptable alternatives, what a "speed" chain is, or why an alternative to the 415 is called a #41.
But more specifically, I have purchased an adapter from MB Rebel ( a company that gets my order right and ships fast, unlike Bikeberry who screwed up two out of two orders and has huge shipping delays) for rear disc brakes, but then I saw one of their videos claiming an ordinary 415 won't work with the adapter. Apparently, I now need a 410 chain or a "speed" 415 chain.
Can someone please explain this to me? Also, am I going to need different sprockets now?
This is getting quite frustrating. It seems that every problem I solve leads to new problems to solve. But of course, at least I am not bored.
