7sp mountain bike wheel on Huffy Cranbrook?

Just as the title says: is a 7sp mountain bike wheel too wide to fit in the dropouts of a standard beach cruiser?

as everything sits no it won't fit. however you can cold set the frame to the right width (130mm or 135mm usually) using bolts or even a 2x4 - this has all the info you could want: http://sheldonbrown.com/frame-spacing.html

For my Huffy cranbrook I took a piece of threaded rod and widened the rear out for a 6 speed mountain bike wheel and it worked just fine. Problem arises once you want to put the chain on because the front sprocket it just a hair wider than a mountain bike chain would fit so that would need replaced as well or filed just a hair to stop any binding.
