My chain broke because I forgot to torque down my engine mounts and chain jumped and got caught in sprocket.

I have ordered an heavy duty chain from bikeberry.shft.. Can I use a 415 chain from walmart until my heavy duty chain arrives?

Why not? If Walmart sells it, it came from the same place your engine did. :)

Seriously, I wasn't aware that Wally sold #415 chain. Are you certain about the size?

I've never seen 415 anywhere locally, only 410. Thats why I run the #41, I buy it at tractor supply. It comes in ten foot lengths, if you buy the three pack of master links to go with the one that comes with the chain you can make two chains with a spare master link for both. It cost me $21 to make two chains, my first chain is three years old and still look good with no wear in the pins or rollers.

Walmart does not sell #415 chain. The chain they sell is the standard bike chain. It`s the same size as the small chain that Gasbike puts on their small engine kits. They are.....seems like #395 size or something like that.

Did you bother to read the thread?

That is 415 and Walmart is selling it. Also, what is 395 chain? Never heard of it. Did you just make it up?

Most single-speed bicycle chains are 410. All 4x/4xx series chains have 1/2" pitch.
Multispeed bicycle chains are also 1/2" pitch, but they are narrower than the 1/8" standard of 410.
