4-Stroke 5G Dual Chain Transmission Gear Oil Modification

Has anyone modified the BikeBerry 4-Stroke 5G Dual Chain Transmission to use Gear Oil instead of Grease? I would like to modify mine to use Gear Oil or Engine Oil for lubrication.

Would think oil would be better. But never had one. I was just curious.
