30-40mph???

I am going 35.5 consistently. Piston work, ports worked, walbro carb, 32 tooth sprocket.

Awesome ride, and very nice to cruise at 30 mph.

i leaned out my gas mix from 20:1 to 50:1 and now i seem to run a little slower. I'm going to pull the head off tomorrow and check everything out, it's making a metallic noise but that' could just be the chain.

That actually makes the fuel/air mixture richer, so that may be your problem.
That's more than twice as much fuel in the mix now.
