Another year to plan for the 4th annual Midwest Scarecrow Run set for Saturday June 9, 2018 in London Mills, Illinois. We have had riders from Illinois, Missouri, Colorado, Iowa, Connecticut, Oklahoma who have come to take a 50-75 mile cruise thru quiet farm country.

Mark your calanders now and plan on coming to join us for a ride.

For those here the first year...we did the ride to Wolf Covered bridge. Next years ride I think we will go back to Wolf Covered Bridge. This time however we will be going to Knoxville, Illinois and then over to Wolf Covered bridge. This route will bypass the little village of Maquon like we did the first year. There is no longer a gas station there...so I think we will go to Knoxville instead...which has several eating joints and many gas stations. Looks like around a 65 mile round trip ride and mile upon mile of even more rural blacktop then we took this last ride. Should be fun.

I'm signing into this post, cause I want to follow it.... I don't have my motorized bike anymore, but I do have an electric bike...can I still come to this event?

Though I'm not speaking for Ray (ckangaroo70), I believe that anyone is welcome to the event. Ride speed on the last event was 20-25mph when traveling........faster at times for some......lol!

I've been comtemplating an electric bike. How far can yours go on a charge?

The furthest I've gone on a charge is 50 miles, but I pedaled a lot. But, average I can get about 25 miles on a charge. My top speed on this hub motor is about 27 mph.
My style is to pedal mostly, and use the assist when needed.
The bike is real heavy with the battery and hub motor, compared to the 2 stroke bike I had.

Really hope to make it this year, I've been wanting to for the last 2 times.
 
Bring the e-bike. Everyone in this group will love the diversity. If you run out of juice I always bring at least one spare gas bike with me you can ride. Look forward to meeting you. An e-bike is in my future. Love to pick up some info from you.
