hello i just join last week and I am very happy to know that is a group of gear heads and enthusiasts with a lot experience and knowledge i have a 80 cc with the sick bike shifting kit on a Kent 29"X3 fat tire, The engine is ported exhaust tuned and performance carb, is quite a ride... but this is my fourth bike, all being fat tires 26"X4", I am a performance auto mechanic that enjoin the motorized bikes... Thanks for let me in on your Forum.trk

The first bike is a GoPed 23cc friction engine that is clutch by the parking brake i install on the frame, is a good bike but kind slow and when it rains i cant use it due to the slippage of the drive on the tire, the second one is the last one i build and it have an 80cc ported engine and the sick bike transmission, that one is very fast, yet to check the max mph...

Thanks guys, yes is not that easy to install the engines on those fat tire bikes at first i have to think a lot of how to install the engine with out touching the tire with the chain... now that i seen all the mods that you guys are making on your bikes I feel like is more to be done, my next build will going to be a dyno with a 212 predator, i know is being done before but I will try to make it unique and fast...

Naw, you just choice the wrong way to motorize it is all.
I put a 1KW electric shifting system on the one I did.

Hey, to each his own I guess, but I think a 212cc engine on a bicycle is about as silly an idea as...
never mind...
Have fun and try to stay alive.

Hah, 10/10. This'll be him with a 210 on a fat tire bike: xct2

Welcome to the forum! Those are really cool bikes, very nicely done! It's nice to have a mechanic join, anything you can say to help us non-mechanics is appreciated!

Hahaha you guys.... well as a performance mechanic i always try to get a fast ride, now i don't know how this is going to end, but I starting to see signs of addiction to this little bikes... lol
And the electric bike is real head turner if I some day free my self of the gasoline addiction i will make an electric bike!!!

thanks and if you need some advice on welding/bracing or machining i will be happy to help you guys

that you mention gears....
is gear hubs strong to hold a 212 modified?
or i should relay on the shift kit from sbp?
They are the same thing.
You use the shift kit to move your power output to the right side and use the bicycles gears.

Doubtful bicycle parts will handle a 212cc engine.

If you want to put motorcycle power on something, put it on a motorcycle frame.... with pedals to stay kinda-legal ;-}

That was just an 86cc 4-stroke semi-auto 4-speed engine and it was a rocket.

The point is, all the parts are deigned for motorcycle engines and their power, most bicycles are not.

That MotoPed frame is rated for 250cc if memory serves, but a moot point, your engine wouldn't fit it and it was ~$2500 delivered completely disassembled.

If you are bound and determined to use that engine please put it in a sturdy bikes with great brakes.
