My vintage schwinn did not have multiple gears. I had to weld on a tab onto the dropout so I could use a derailleur. I know I could have used a bolt-on hanger, but just not the way I do things, if at all possible. Anyway, I got me a no bells and whistles derailleur that just simply works and works well. The Sunrace M2T is a derailleur I have used on bikes in the past, so , I decided to use one for this bike. I did nothing earth shattering with it, however, it did have to match the overall theme of the bike so I had to make a few changes. I started by making my own version of their label to match the wicked letters elsewhere on the bike. Next I swapped out the hardware for stainless steel socket head bolts which I fully polished. Lastly, I had to make spikes to match all of the other spikes on the bike. It's all in the little details.....
