Dead soft copper base gasket made from 16ga on a grubee Gt5 from 2012 worked out great... Some motors have 2 base gaskets and I don't see why a 12 or 10 ga copper wouldn't be better than 2 cardboard... 18-20-22 ga for a head gasket after sanding and polishing surfaces to set squish... port timing...

Yes heat it to red hot and let it cool slowly 3 times or you can buy it dead soft for a little more money
