i purchased a little schwinn trailer that i use mostly for grocery shopping etc. its not going to handle substantial loads but works very well for my purpose. fairly decent 16inch wheels its light and pulls straight and nice. amazon for 75$ im real happy with it...kelly

Thanks for that update Kelly. I've completely missed this cylinder in my study of vendor offerings. Where did you purchase yours?

In light of spalling issues with some cylinders being sold this seems a way to avoid that problem on replacements and perhaps gain some performance as well. Running cool and long are my main concerns, power can be wrested from them later if required.

i got it from it from BMW though not advertised it came with exhaust studs installed and an aluminium intake. 23$ and it was 4 or 5 shipping...kelly
 
Very true with the swiveling front axle and the 4 wheels so like my setup I got a gorilla cart like described 4wheels front axle steer and its 1500lb rated metal gates and nice big tires for the Cruze only problem with trailers is thears no suspension on any of them has to be fabricated over all cost bout 380 but we'll worth it just an idea

Up date I have finished the installation with the new intake and i don't know If it makes a difference but its on and running

That axle if turned sharp can tip the cart, axle off a old garden tractor would be better, with regular steering spindles...........Curt
 
Spindals would be nice with coilover shocks, independent suspension and trailer breaks , takes some fab can be done but I believe its gonna cost time and money to build and for roll over from the pivot point in the stearing the stance is too wide and the tires absorb allot of the stiffness but no rollover problems yet but I'll keep an eye on that perspective make sure I slow down for corners, thanks man

Now, trailers I know a little about. Consider instead of those 20s, using wheel chair rims with outdoor tires of a youth size wheelchair. They're just an inch or 2 taller but they can take some weight and they're faster than..... Well they're REALLY low resistance.
Strong point you made about bringing that center of gravity down. Key to stability. If your gonna haul any real weight, 100 lbs +, consider some kind of braking. That does tend to take you back towards those 20in BMX wheels. Skip the trailer rims, they're usually cheap and lightly built.

You know guys I've seen a kids radio flyer trailer with a full 4 link suspension lift on some ATV mudders, the ideas are astronomical, all on the internet , takes money to fab one them fancy pull trailers I'll try to find the pictures........... safety first .....peace
 
Up date with the new cylinder type, so far so good , no problems with all the components that bolt on , low profile hi comp head cdh made ,carb 21 pwk,expansion with short header (guess work not proper )48tsproket all on a 29in bike with 26in wheels ,crazy setup the motor pulls hard in conclusion I've got it hot already and it's shut down a couple of times (wrong expansion pipe ) but now I've cut n pasted my own exhaust header to the expansion and made it to come out and down bout 5in header to expipe positioned right under the bicycle crank ,its a total work bike that's for sure and the new cylinder type is a mystery still but it works, I'll inform if **** goes different ok .....peace

Thanks for the update Kelly and yeah Winter slows the riding down for a lot of folks. I'm glad to hear you're pleased with the cylinder. Has the engine loosened up enough that you no longer have a problem with engine overheating?

its running really well and is just getting better when ive been able to ride it.. had a little health issue for awhile and had to have some surgery but im really doing much better now a bit of recovery still before serious riding.. but im back to building and that really makes me happy .. i'm creating a real odd ball thing from nothing but scraps and cast offs and junk and having a great time doing it :)

this thing is made out of a whole bunch of junk but it is coming together really cool and at this point im going through all the bearings and that type of thing and make it solid and havin a blast ;) .... parts is parts

Glad your on the mend Kelly, missed your posts. I'm a fan of showing the ugly up front and during the build. Each stage has these ugly moments and many seem loathe to show the real face of progress and the weeks, months or years it takes to complete some complex builds. The reality is most real builds are ugly most of the way to completion no matter how well designed and innovative they may be and we should encourage others by showing the un-edited photographic reality of our work in progress along the way.
