2018 4th Annual Midwest Scarecrow Run

Looking forward to checking out that cool ride! Cya Saturday.
My oldest brother Lynn just bought a 1999 Whizzer WC-1 today and is hoping to take it on his first Scarecrow Run Saturday. He bought it with the wiring harness out of it and a few other issues..so he is really under the gun to get it going by Saturday. Hoping he gets it sorted...its a cool looking ride. Its the 1999 "Flame Promo Edition". Only 25 like it built it says in the paperwork.
My other brother Rory who normally does the Scarecrow Run with us the past couple years has a new bike for this years ride as well. My brother Rory's brother n law Kevin may be joining us this year as well on a 66cc Huffy Panama Jack. This would be Kevin's first Scarecrow Run.
Also have two nephews joining us for the ride this year. The one nephew Lee has done the Scarecrow Run the last two years and my other nephew Ryan this will be his first Scarecrow Run. He has a brand new bike for the ride as well.
Our Scarecrow Run founding fathers.. Kirk, Jordan, and Mike will be here! This will be their 4th Scarecrow Run and if they make it to the 5th Annual....then I am thinking they will earn a little something extra on their Scarecrow Run t-shirts next year. Them and my friend Tom 2door were real cool to answer my call for people to come take a ride with me that first year in some little 350 people town smack dab in the middle of nowhere. Very cool of them!!!!
Kirk and Mike will be bringing some guest riders for their first Scarecrow Run. Darren, who makes cool youtube videos will be joining us, as well as Motorbicycling member: Rommelstok who owns the awesome Ratte Hinkel that was built by Kirk Barron aka Mr. B, who documented the build here on motorbicycling.com.
Our new friend Scotty from last years ride who brought them two awesome MB's will be joining us again. I am hoping he brings our new friend Lou with him again this year as well. Them two fellows were fun to ride with. This would be their second Scarecrow Run.
Our okie friend Mark aka xseler is going to be rooting us on from home this year due to some other obligations, but I am sure last year wasn't his last ride with us. He'll be back.
I havn't heard from our new friend Sean who rode with us last year. Sean had that beautiful Super X bike with the Stihl engine on it. He had a bit of trouble with his chain last year, but hoping he has that sorted out and hope he plans to return. That sure was a neat little ride he had.
I have had 7 or 8 other folks tell me they would like to or plan to attend. So hoping they are still planning on doing that. Going to be a fun ride!!!!!

Going to be a good ride Jordan and I am predicting a record turnout. Should be fun.
Watching the weather for tomorrow. Hourly shows morning and early afternoon pretty good shape, but may have to dodge a shower or popup t-storm in the afternoon. Won't be that big of a deal. Will keep an eye on the radar and we have plenty of park pavillions and business's where we can shelter if it looks like we may need to. You may want to pack a wipe rag and a plastic bag to throw over a seat if needed. We will work around it.

In the event of rain...there is a Riverside Park only a few blocks from my house. It has a very large pavillion we can use to keep our bikes and ourselves dry. Once the passing rains goes by( If that occurs)..we will access the weather and then decide a cruise route. We may do several smaller routes or continue to do the planned route. We will work around any weather to insure we get in some good riding and have plenty of places to keep dry.
Going to be an excellent day to ride. Forecast now looks like best rain chances are not until later this afternoon. Will have some clouds to help keep the sun off our backs. See y'all here.
Had a great ride! Wanna thank all those who came out to enjoy another Scarecrow Run. Was nice to meet the new riders who came out and to also see my riding buddies from Scarecrow's past return as well. We had 14 riders this year and 2 helpers! Wanna thank the nice lady who followed us in the truck and my nice lady for feeding a hungry bunch of riders. The weather cooperated for us and i just don't think it could have went any better. Thank you all!
