I bought a spark plug that someone recommended but got home it was way shorter than the one that came with engine will this plug work?anyone know?

depends mostly on heat range - I recall once using a stubby little champion plug in a bike that had no room for usual sized plug - worked well but I forget the number on it

I presume 66 cc 2 stroke bicycle engine?
Get an NGK B6HS or an NGK B7HS if it is hot where you ride.
