Hi everyone, I'm in the middle of a build on an older bike with brakes that aren't so good. I'd like to install a disc on the front but this old bike does not have any mounting holes for the disc. Is there and adapter for this? Anyone recommend some good caliper brakes if not? Thanks a lot!

When I want a part like that, I search thrift stores. LoL, I search em any way. Some great bikes for 10 or 20 bucks. But there are ways to go if your V's are not good enough. I have not tried the adapters but folks speak well of em; https://www.google.com/search?q=mot...ome..69i57.11233j0j4&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8

My favorite front end set up, I have a worksman drum brake/wheel with v brakes. I use a duel pull leaver so they operate in tandem. It's over kill but I love the wheel but is more anti lock brakes that will get around to stopping you.

But unless your having a problem, think your right and sticking with what ya have works, cool.

Dave31 came up with a really cool thing for rears. Use the engine sprocket as a disc for a disc brake. I personally want the rear to stop before the front. (think of a jackknifing truck)

But if it's working as is, Awesome.
