real noob question, if theres a thread just link me.

so on my bike i bought pre built , 4 stroke motor

i bought a new back wheel 26 x 1.75

and so the sprocket on my bike has (EDIT!) :) 9 holes and 50 teeth and when i allign it to the new wheel i can see the spokes will cause the nuts to flare and so i need a sprocket that will fit properly.

does anyone know from experience what sprocket will fit for sure?

thanks

Sorry, but there ain't enough info for an answer, just questions. :)

What pre built 4 stroke kit? bought from where?
Kit sprockets have 9 holes to fit 36 spoke wheels.
Are you sure about the 8 holes?

26 spokes? I don't think I've ever seen a wheel like that. I sure wouldn't want to put a sprocket on it.

Yup. I'm a cheapskate and use the kit sprockets on all my builds so I can possibly help.
But not without more info.
Pics of the wheel and sprocket would help

I guess your problem is that the 9 sprocket bolts hit the hub?

Your 50 tooth sprocket may have the small diameter bolt circle and if so the larger bolt circle sprocket will clear but you will need a new matching rag joint.

Bluntly that chain pocket bike trans is junk. :)

hey thanks for the help.

not the hub but the spokes, but a larger bolt circle sprocket, as you said, would work

You need to measure the diameter of your hub to get a proper fit.
I'm pretty sure the website has the info you need, but if not, type it your adapter name in the search box above the forum for lots of threads to check out. Be sure you don't waste time buying the wrong part.
Have fun!

I gotta 26" Giant with a few mods
1) Pro-jetpipe
2) Cdi
3) 36T Manic sprocket

My question is By how much will a new 34 TOOTH SPROCKET bring down my acceleration with the forementioned mods????????????? Thanks
