Richie Havens dies at 72.
Richie Havens, who sang and strummed for a sea of people at Woodstock, has died at 72.
Havens’ agent confirmed the news of his death to FOX 411, stating the singer died in the morning.
“He had a heart attack at his home in Jersey City,” the agent said.
Havens, a folk singer and guitarist, performed at the 1969 Woodstock Festival. He returned to the site during the 40th anniversary in 2009.
The performer was born in Brooklyn. He was known for his crafty guitar work and cover songs.
Havens said in a 2009 interview with The Associated Press about Woodstock: "Everything in my life, and so many others', is attached to that train."
A public memorial will be planned for a later date.

anyway, let me try and explain how you link a pic to a link.
first, here is Highwaystar's link to the Joey Ramone vid but with underscores added to the html tags so they will be visible, without the underscores all you see is the link.

note that the link has a tag at the front AND the back and won't work if any part is missing or misspelled, like the old DOS days, syntax is important.
now, to use a picture as the link rather than just the text you have to change the tags a little, ...note that the back tag remains the same and i've made the changes to the front tag in red, notice that all i've done is to change the bracket to an equal sign and then put the bracket at the end of the link itself, this incorporates the link into the front tag

...now to use pics as links they first have to be in an album of yours and what you do is open the pic you want to use, then copy the BB code and then just paste it in between the brackets like this.

Divinyls singer Chrissy Amphlett dies at 53

Chrissy Amphlett, lead singer of the Australian rock band the Divinyls, died Saturday in New York after a long battle with breast cancer, according to the Associated Press. She was 53.
The Divinyls hit big at home in the '80s and '90s with four Top 10 albums, one of which, “Divinyls,” reached No. 15 in the U.S. on the strength of the group’s breakout single “I Touch Myself,” which went to No. 4 on the Billboard Top 100 in 1991.
Amphlett revealed in 2010 that she had breast cancer and that because she also had multiple sclerosis she would be unable to go through radiation treatment normally given to treat breast cancer.

“It's unfair, but life is not fair -- even rock stars get breast cancer,” she said at that time. “But there've been many girls before me who have dealt with it successfully. It's easy to feel sorry for me but I feel sorry for people who are suffering it alone,'' she said.
"I'll get over it,” she said. “I've got songs to sing, I've got stages to perform on. I'm a keep-on-going sort of girl.''
She and her husband, Divinyls drummer Charley Drayton, had been living in New York. The group disbanded in 2007.
"Christine Joy Amphlett succumbed to the effects of breast cancer and multiple sclerosis, diseases she vigorously fought with exceptional bravery and dignity,” her family said in a statement issued by her cousin, musician Little Pattie Thompson.
“With her force of character and vocal strength,” the statement added, “she paved the way for strong, sexy, outspoken women.”
