Round plastic gas tank

I just won this little sucker on ebay. what do you guys think? I plan on mounting on the back under the seat of my schwinn cruiser build. Its plastic by the way.

Thanks, I had bid on a metal one but I lost. This was my second choice, I was a little skeptical because its plastic, but I really want a round tank to mount on the rear. I didnt really like how the gas tank that came with the kit looked on my bike.

i like some of the plastic tanks i use a one gall. plastic from a riding mower on a rear rack

This one is 3 3/16 in diameter and 9 1/2 long. I wonder how many miles that will get me.

My guess is approximately 66 miles.

Volume of the tank = ((3.1875/2)^2)(2)(pi)(9.5)= 151.615877 in^3
Volume of one gallon of gas = 230.999952 in^3
Gas in your tank is approximately 151.615877/230.99952 = .656 gallon
Assuming you get about 100 miles per gallon then (.656)(100) = 66 miles

Just a guess though. I suppose this where it would be totally appropriate to say Your Mileage May Vary!
