A Honda GX35 will run you about $225 plus shipping but it's a great engine you can count on for many years. You can get a decent quality China made engine for this kit for about $125.
so thats a total of $300 with the Honda GX35...and $200 without it...

was looking thru your customers photos and noticed the mount works great with a full suspension bike. i been trying to get a rack mount with the chain to work on my full suspension without to much luck. it looks like a friction drive may be the way to go. great looking mounts

Although the kit mounts a little better on a traditional frame, a full suspension frame can be used as long as you use the long frame bracket we offer.

BMP, I plan to get one of these kits. Do you have any other roller sizes available? I plan to mount the kit to my mountain bike and ride it off-road and up some very steep fire roads in the mountains. Will the 1.0 work for me or do you make one smaller? BTW I weigh 175 pounds.

The smallest diameter drive roller we carry is 1.00". If you are using a higher powered engine (43cc or higher) it will move you up the hills nicely. If you have a lower powered engine like the Honda GX35 you may have to pedal along with the engine on the steeper hills.

If you change the bearings you can use the Staton friction rollers in the BMP kit.

You would need to change the bearings and the clutch drum as we have different sized threads on our drum. So basically you would need an entire drive assembly from Staton as the Staton kits rollers also act as the drive shaft - it wouldn't really make much sense to do that if you already have the BMP kit but yes you can.

Thanks for the info.
Any chance of selling a 1.5" roller again?
Preferably steel.

unior, how much did you pay for the auger and I have heard that engine is quite powerful. Do you think it is and how did it compare to the xc50 powerwise?
It is powerful but it acts just like a 2-stroke. I think my HS had a litte more torque. It didn't lose power quite as quick when I hit a hill. I paid $160 for the auger. It came with a couple allen wrenchs that came in handy for removing the auger gearbox. The other cool thing is you can purchase a 2 year warranty for $35. The only thing is you would have to reassemble the auger to return it lol.

As safety is always concern we will not be offering a 1.5" roller. You should reach speeds that are plenty fast for a bicycle with the 1.25" roller. With a 1.5" roller you would reach speeds over 40MPH and that is just not safe for a bicycle. Try to keep it 30mph or slower.

Paul,
BMP is the way to go. I put a monster scooter 49cc
on it an it gets me at 220lbs upto 31mph and the motor is not really
broken in yet.
Here's pic of my full suspension bike.
I love that Honda bike you have along with that center mounted kickstand. Do you mind if I post your photo on our website in our customer photo gallery?

Thanks from BMP
