Hello All,
My name is Louis and I just built my first bike, getting it to run properly has been fun. The kit came with the version 2 CNS carb, after a lot of searching here and elsewhere this is what I have done so far to get it running almost right….
1. Seal where the carb clamps on the intake
2. Made a 1/16 cork gasket for the top of the carb, where the plate
screws on
3. Sealed the top of the crankcase (just below the carb)
4. Sealed the choke and throttle cable on the top of the carb
5. Pulled the lineout of the air cleaner and plugged it
From looking at the plug now its lean on WOT, just ordered a set of bits #61-80 to open the jet a little.
I am still debating on breaking down the whole engine and put it together with new caskets and gasket sealer.
Just seems like there is a lot of people struggling to get these to run, I hope this can be helpful to others
