How many of you Stretch Cruiser or Chopper builders are using or contemplating using the Chinese cloned Horizontal Honda CRF 50cc ATV / Dirtbike / Pitbike engines for your current or next build.

As far as I know the only two very talented & experienced builders who have completed builds using this type of 4 stroke engine are Civlized & Ipaint, both these builders used Stretch Cruisers with ipaint having completed two of these builds using this type of engine.

If you are in the process of a build of this type please share it here with us.

After the next build....a tandem with a Kawasaki FE-120 4-stroke, I will more than likely be doing one of these (as I'm only interested in building 4-strokes from now on) horizontal CRF-50 or clones thereof....I'll keep ya posted. Cheers, scotto-dance1

Robert, you'll have to remove the seat down post on the stock 20-inch Stingray Chopper, the Schwinn Stingray XL Chopper ( XL = extra large adult version not necessary to remove seat down post ), to fit the Honda Horizontal Pitbike dirtbike Honda Mini Trail 50 engine, and also you'll have to run the pedal drive chain below the engine that is if you want to be able to use this build as a pedal ( human powered ), and motor assisted bicycle.

I am currently in the process of finding the biggest engine I can 2 suit my yet 2 be verified make and model drag chopper frame. want as much power as I can get with out having 2 modify it or cut it 2 suit. this has proven 2 b a fun task as ive only just come 2 learn about all the powerplants on offer. I am tossing up between pirana 140cc gx120cc or the predator 212 mod. they all seem 2 be a very well rated motor so I might have 2 try them 1 bye 1auflgauflg

FTW, these Honda E-22 clone engines are used quite often down under, especially on the Postie's.

For you non Aussies, the Postie is the Honda CT110, which is still produced to this day for the Australian Postal Service, I'd say they've proven that these engines are un-beatable!

FTW, maybe you'd like to consider the Turbo Charged version of this engine?

Take your pick from 49cc to 180cc the horizontal Honda E-22 clone engines make a motorized Stretch Cruiser or Chopper suicidal fast!!

These engines are offered as fully automatic, semi-automatic, and with manual (trans) clutch operated!

Crazy Horse it was ipaints stretch that inspried me to build a motorized bike. I brought a Lifan 70cc single speed (new) for $185 here is Aus. The police here give the china girls a hard time and the first stretch I bought had an ally frame so I abandoned the idea and went for a china girl.

I have only seen a few with pedals working. alot more without.. I would still love to do one but after the challenges of a kit build on a stretch have put the idea on hold for now.

I'm still waiting to see a lifan build with a 3 speed side shifter ;) I think thats about the ants pants of motobicycling.

Robertgibbs, have you made any decision to start this build or have you started this style build using the Horizontal Honda E-22 engine, and maybe I've missed your build thread for this?

FTW, the pirana 140cc Horizontal Honda E-22 clone engine will be super quick on this type of build, I'd suggest welding in gussets to strengthen the frame if this is the type of motor you will be using for your build, please start a build thread once you've decided on the type of engine you'll be using?

Braddo, please post some pic's of these style builds you've seen down under, and do let us know when you start a build using the Honda E-22 clone engine.
