24v Electric push trailer & schwinn delmar bike

Since i traded my gas engine kit for 3 24v electric scooters,1 is for parts and the other 2 had most of the parts that come with them.

I made one electric scooter out of one and an electric pushcart for my bike.

Here i will talk about about the pushcart and will list pictures:

24v 600watt motor
2 20ah batteries
24v scooter charger
1 electric scooter with handle bars,front wheel,and seat removed.
I made a trailer hitch on the back of my bike,so i could lower the trailer on the hitch.
The throttle is a heavy duty power cable running from the trailer and clips on the basket on the rear rack of my bike and has a on/off heavy duty 40v 60amp toggle/breaker switch from Tyco company.
The fuse is in stock location and is a heavy duty 40v 50amp toggle/breaker switch from Tyco.
Top speed is around 20mph+ and has very high torque and acceleration.

My cruiser bike has extra rear rack mount holes and bolts so i mounted a extra rack with hitch which has a short pole so you can just lower the trailer onto the pole.
I will put up a pic of my hitch and bike when i can.

Today I flipped my bike and powered trailer over.
I was at the store and had the bike rear basket and trailer basket loaded with stuff.
I got on the bike and turned on the toggle switch and over i went and the trailer wheel was still spinning so i had to turn off the switch while i was lying on the side of the road with the bike and trailer resting on me. I got it flipped back over and everything was still in there baskets. I got a metal staple that was on the road in my finger and had a skinned knee. I pulled the staple out of my finger(blood shooting out) and wrapped a piece of plastic bag around it. Then i peddaled the bike home about 1mile,its hard to peddal with the eletric motor resistence and with the heavy load.

Well off to finish my handicap scooter and put the bike up,I think the scooter will be safer. Everyone ride carefull.

Its not really a terrible idea,but i do agree that a push button switch is safer,that is if i can find a high amp one.

Since im woking on building a new bike trailer, i rebuilt a scooter out of another frame i had and heres some pics:

Its got a 24v 600watt motor, 2 12v 20ah batteries,1 50v 50amp breaker/toggle switch as a fuse,and a 50v 60amp toggle switch for on/off,it has 2 speeds: off and 12-15mph.
When i used a scooter just like this one as a powered bike trailer, it would push a bike up to around 20mph.
This scooter is like a tank,it will go over grass and up hills.
It also uses a stock 24v scooter charger that plugs into the charger port on the side of the scooter. I wired everything with heavy duty very thick copper wire,as you can see the large grey cable in the pics.
It also has a drum brake that works.
I also chopped the handle bars to lower them to look more like a handi cap scooter.
Next im working on adding 2 more wheels to the rear.
