congrats... i like the Fusion also, drove a couple and liked them.

clear over metal sounds good
I am a fan. 2.0L ecoboost really kicks some butt. Trying to save up for a nice down payment also selling my car to the kid I built a bike for. He will treat it right ha! Or so I hope.

Reason I decided clear over metal was because the matte black just gets everywhere, also with my recent gas leak the paint is spotty in a lot of places so it doesn't look near as good as it did when first done.

Got started on the no paint. Gas leaked everywhere on the bike anyways so it's trashed at the moment. Paint is missing everywhere good thing I decided no paint with some clear coat.

Also bought another gas tank that proceeded to spill it's guts out from the factory. I need to find some sort of improved gas tank that won't break at the studs and leak like none other.

just build you a behind the seat tank from a large juice can or from 4" schedule 40 pvc pipe.

I'm a bit skeptical of the words high performance and Wally world being used in the same sentence. Seen my friends try to build up cheap bikes and by the time they had anything close to comfortable and reliable, only thing original on the bike was the frame. I figure if you're going to end up replacing the whole bike anyway, either buy a better bike or find a good solid frame and build it from the ground up.
This frame has definitely proven itself with a couple thousand miles and a fairly decent top speed of 46-47 mph. Only problems I've had so far is the gas tanks keep vibrating themselves broken!

Frame yes, that I can see. Friends of mine have logged thousands of miles on cranbrook frames, but they ended up replacing everything else on the bike. This is why I went straight for a postwar American frame and am custom building from the bare frame up. Got the frame cheap enough that I'm actually spending less than I would've building up a Wally world bike.
The bike itself doesn't have anything done to is except upgraded brakes and the others that come with the having to have a disc brake fork for disc brakes. Other than that it's all stock. I guess I don't understand what you are trying to get across? The bike was $97 and I have more in engine work than anything else. I just like to make stuff mine in the sense that it's custom. That's why i am stripping the paint.

I bought my Wallyworld Cranbrook in 2011, I chose it because it had great welds, steel rims with 12 guage spokes. I took EVERYTHING apart and regreased it. Some bearings had no grease at all. I really took special care on the rear hub. I used marine grade grease on it so I'm confident about the grease. I ordered it as a BLACK FRIDAY special on sale for $69, $74.69 with tax. The rear hub is still doing just fine. I should say that I DO NOT use the coaster brake very much if at all. Last time I tried to use it, It locked up in a turn and dumped my butt on the street. So now I just use my V brakes. My HUSSY Cranbrook still rides great. I don't recommend just anyone buying a cheap bike and throwing a motor on it , But if ya know what yer doing and want to take it all apart and inspect EVERY LITTLE PART, grease it and put it back together right, Cause ya know the Chinese kid at the factory just slapped it together any old way for his two yen a day. A more expensive bike would already have it done right and ya wouldn't have to worry so much about doing such a complete inspection yourself. I'm just saying you can make a cheap bike work if yer willing to put a lot extra work into it.

If the stock components on the crannies work for you guys, that's great. Just that one of my buddies had a cranbrook and he ended up replacing a lot of parts, not all because they were crappy. The bearings in the stock rear wheel failed, but everything else he replaced was mostly upgrades. The rear wheel didn't last long before he had to get another, that was the first stock thing to go. He ended up putting in a new bottom bracket for clearance when he went 4 stroke, but before that he replaced the forks (suspension), he seat because it was very uncomfortable, and the front wheel was swapped out for one with a drum brake. He didn't spend a whole lot of money though. Forks were a dumpster find, front wheel was bought used and I forget where he got the seat and handlebars from. But after watching him replace everything for one reason or another, I decided to just go fully custom and build from the bare frame up. Just my personal choice after seeing what my friend went through. However, for a kit bike, the crannies are not bad. As long as you keep an eye and do regular maintenance, you should be just fine.

Buddy stalled in front of me and I slammed the disc brake too hard. Went over the handle bars, not in the best shape now. Can't even use left arm cause of swelling. Really best case scenario for the crash, just gotta learn to take it if you can't do anything else. Bike isn't damaged except a boogered throttle handle. Really happy I didn't break anything on myself. Bike is replaceable I'm not.

Bummer dude. I stopped riding happy time motors because I was afraid of the motor crapping and hurting me. Now you get hurt because your buddies crappy time motor crapped out.

That's crappy by proxy. Geeze. Thanks for the warning, I'll stay far away from anyone riding a china girl from now on - :)

LOL I heard that I have been riding these china girls for over 4 years and the only problems ive ran into is mag coils going out and I had one hub adapters screw come loose that's why I Loctite all fasteners im putting disc brakes on the chrome lowrider im building for myself but only on the rear il stick to the old style cantilever brakes for the front. sorry to hear about the crash but as we all know its always somebody else's fault LOL but seriously I try not to follow too close to anything while riding these had way too many ppl stop dead or swerve into me or plain not care and turn right in front of me seeing im coming and figuring im pedaling not motoring glad I had good brakes I suggest to everyone to go to schwinnstore on e-bay they have the old school rubber brake shoes and not these rock hard ceramic impregnated plastic ones you get on the new bikes or find a bike shop that might still have some in the back room still happy motoring everyone!!!!!!!

Yeah, the bike is replaceable, But it don't heal for free. I'd almost rather take the brunt of it and hope the bike is OK. I can lay around for a while and heal. My bike don't heal unless I put money into her That I usually cant afford. Sorry yer arm got buggered up. I learned a long, long time ago not to follow close at any time, Driving a car OR a bike. If someone pulls in front of me and its too close, I fall back some. I gotta have LOTS of room to stop. I hate chewing the seat with my arse trying to stop before I hit the guys rear bumper.
