Why doesn't anyone make different tapered needles for carbs???

When I was into ultralight planes, we had many options of different tapers of needles to optimize performance in a given rpm range..... Why doesnt anyone make aftermarket needles for our cheap carbs???



I might sand a few down and see how the results are....
 
Many before you have experimented with re-tapering the needle with mixed results.
You didn't say what carburetor you have but keep in mind that with the popular NT carb the needle only effects fuel flow from off idle to about 3/4 throttle. From there the main jet determines how much fuel flows to the engine.
