what would happen if

you know that I have that 36v not sure what the real ah is nimh pack but what if I put it parallel with a 24v sla pack. Where would the amp be drawn. I'm a little nervous to do much with this. since I cooked a battery pack recently. My questioning mind might just have to give it a try one day. In the mean time anyone have any idea what it will do.

Nothing good will happen (certainly without a diode). You can try it on smaller scale with spare AA cells you have ( 2,4 V : 1,2 V) and watch/measure results. Remember , in your packs there are a lot of amps...
