What kind of cylinder is this?

A friend who I am building a bike for dropped this off to me today and I've never seen anything like it but on a chainsaw. The cylinder bolts go all the way down through the cylinder and attach next to the base and the spark plug is facing the exhaust port. AND it's a one piece cylinder with open ports!

Does anybody have any idea what this might be or what the deal is with it?

It appears to be some sort of zeda 80 clone but even after searching and searching I still can't find an open ports cylinder that short bolts through just the bottom portion of the cylinder instead of all the way through and nuts at the top of the cylinder.

Strange indeed.
