what gage spoke for NuVinci n171b hub?

That developer's kit data sheet says 13 or 14 ga. I currently have some 14 ga spokes at hand but was wondering about the 13 ga. The cross pattern I want to use is a two-cross but was concerned that maybe if I go too thick w/the spokes, I may not be able to accomplish this...

What do you guys use? Would you guys say that 14 is the lowest I can go for using a 2 cross pattern? Anyway, would like your guys' input, especially from those who own a NuVinci hub. Thanks much!

the hub that came on my cadilac bike has 14g, i put a morini s6s motor to that wheel and had no problems with the spokes, that was the 171 hub.

my wheel is being built with the nuvinci hub. im going with the 14g just to save on drilling out my rims spoke holes.
