Yesterday I went out riding. I was going down a main road at about 30mph. All of a sudden, I heard a "pop!" felt what I'd describe as a brief jolt, then my chain came off the rear sprocket, and there was used oil everywhere; on the frame, rear wheel, sprocket, sprocket hub adapter, wheel rim, chain covered in the oil too(I'll try to get some pics later today of the aftermath). Engine revved out and from what I remember was still running when I pulled in the clutch a second after hearing the pop. From what I can see on the outside of the engine, it doesn't seem there's oil leaking from anywhere so I have no idea where the oil came from. Thats my main concern. I hope my engine isn't toast, but like I said earlier it was still running right after the pop when I pulled in the clutch and hit the kill switch. What are some things that can cause this? Has this happend to anyone else here before?
