Viable Build?

Hey everyone!

I plan on purchasing all of the components to my first build very soon.

First off I have to express my excitement that there's such an awesome community online that all are into motorized bikes, I've been reading around the forum's and you've all been so helpful and informative.

So I plan on buying a Schwinn Point Beach Cruiser
http://www.walmart.com/ip/26-Men-s-Schwinn-Point-Beach-Cruiser/13398157.

The one I want is the blue one but Walmart says it's not available but hopefully I'll find one in store or else I'll have to go with red.

And because this is my first build I think I'm just going to buy a full kit from bikeberry. http://www.bikeberry.com/flying-horse-5g-4-stroke-pull-start-48cc-bicycle-engine-kit.html. Anybody have any experience with these kits? Are they any good?

Just tossing my idea up into the air to see what everyone thinks and if this is a possible build!

Thanks in advance!

Don't buy that kit as the gearbox that it comes with has many problems.
There are better choices.

I %150 suggest phantom bikes. It is DEFINATLEY worth the extra money. Their stuff is more reliable and John is the nicest guy in the world.

I was wondering why their HS 4G kit was about $100 more than everywhere else, then I saw your post about them replacing the one way bearing, which I think is the one that normally fails? Do you know if they do anything else to the motor or tranny?

What makes it work the extra money in comparison? Looks like the same engine but the kit is another 150 bucks. I know a lot of other components go into the kit but what specifically makes this one better?

Have you had experience with this kit?

It's not that I'm not willing to shell out the cash, I'm just curious what goes into this to make it worth my extra cash.

Thanks,

You can get it from blowbyu.ca for $650 including shipping. He may take awhile to get back to you though...he's off and on in the oil fields.

Helio seems like they have one of those kits... Are they a reliable source to buy from? Anyone else have one and would recommend? I just wanna make sure that's a good product before I spend all that cash.

I got it from BlowByU...but like I said he's only around sometimes, so you have to catch him when he's in! :) His website's at http://www.blowbyu.ca/

I went with the Huasheng + Qmatic kit (and I'm also adding several aftermarket parts to insure quality).

I'm most likely going to go with the phantom bikes kit. After doing some research online this seems to be the best for my price point.

As Phantom Bikes was suggested here I guess it's safe to assume they're a trusted vendor, correct?

With the HS 49cc what speeds should I expect with the gear ratios supplied in their kits?

I'm not looking for speed now but maybe in the future I would want to kick it up a knotch, would I be able to change the gear ratios to get better speeds?

If anyone who bought this kit could let me know how their experience with PhantomBikes + the kit in general that would be great!

Thanks,
Keblic
