I read lots of posts about people who say that they need to use the choke to start the bike. I have never touched the choke on my bike. I live in the Bay Area in California, and as long as I've owned this motor (since summer) its always been at least 85-100 degrees. When I go to ride I pedal up and drop the clutch and it will start. Is my carburetor not dialed correctly or something? Why don't I need to use my choke? Not even sure if I should be complaining!

It's probably nothing wrong. With the warm weather, starting is much easier. I can start mine in most weather, without the choke, but using it draws fuel into the carb and smooths the engine during warmup. I shut off my fuel switch to kill the engine after a ride, to be extra carefl to prevent leaks in storage. So using the choke makes it easy to start again. In very humid weather, or cold weather, or rain, it seems necessary to me to use it.
