first, had a guy with big arms and big hammer use an impact driver last week to replace a bad seal on the small bevel gear side - this week he came in with the big end of conn rod seized
can't be sure, but wondering if using the big hammer on gear was enough to knock crank out of true to pinch that bearing

yesterday, guy trades in a dead motor that he;s been struggling with quite a while
opened it up and was full of white assembly grease - both seals were in place but were spinning where their outsides should have been tight in the case - apparently while fighting this problem the guy trashed the left side main till it had up/down play on the crank
called him and he has no white grease at his place, so one of his friends must have 'helped him out' by greasing it
work carefully out there
