Two torched magnetos in a week or two

Has anyone had a problem with magnetos going bad really fast?

I ran my bike for months w/o any magneto problems, but I just had my second magneto go bad in a week or two.....

Yes. They seem to run in batches. I've had brand new coils arrive bad.

Are you sure that there is nothing leaking on em' to burn em up? Props to Maniac- ever think about the mag side seal?

Yep stupid ground wire soilder to casing keep breaking with vibration,now I run the new mags and the black wire comes straight out of the mag. No more worries!!!!! Rose 326a gotz up.

Confusing. The black wire is the case ground. It shouldn't be in the coil. What do you mean by "the black wire comes straight out of the mag" ?
