Throttle on Dax Friction Kit

I should have read more clearly when ordering but I did not get around to ordering a throttle control for my dax friction drive kit (with Super Titan)

I have a spare brake cable and lever. I'd rather not wait for shipping to order the twist grip to get started testing the bike. Will mounting the spare brake lever on the opposite side of the handle as a throttle work?

Should work fine. The twist throttles are not that good. Mine only lasted a few minutes before it broke.

Good Luck,

I actually prefer using a brake leaver because you can easily remove the throttle cable from the bicycle. Takes about two seconds. You can also modify a thumb shifter too. A problem you might run into is the size of the cable end and the length if the cable past the cable housing. Brake leavers require the larger cable end and the carb has a very small one. You can try using one of those adjustable cable stops like the cheap in frame two stroke kits use on the clutch actuator. Good luck.

I used the choke lever from an old CNS carb. It will stay in any position I put it in and sort of acts like a cruise control.
