up north now
Here's what I did-
I had a few thousand sunflower seeds I saved from last year.
The covid "lockdown" has had everyone sad, depressed/oppressed/inside/and undercover.

While that was happening I rode my bicycle around my town and planted sunflowers EVERYWHERE. They are at the park, around the baseball field fence, down the streets, in corners everywhere, and they concentration gets denser until you are at my house. I planted over a hundred here. I made a "fence" across the front, and surrounded the "obelisk" that used to hold a street sign in the 70's with them, and on top, I planted a Mammoth pumpkin plant. (my house is on a corner- in "semi-suburbia")

I figure with the sheer number I planted, there will be many survivors, and around mid summer the whole town will come alive with sunflowers. My way of saying "welcome back"....or whatever.

Now, If I could figure out how to post pics from my phone....I used to do it with a digital camera, upload to the site and post, but I only have a smart phone now, no camera- help?
