Both have their advantages and disadvantages. Ultimately, it depends on what the rider is happy with.

By the way I use a rear mount 4 stroke which runs through a triple chainring shift kit.

That's like the argument between which is better a Motor Bike or an E Bike
One is not better than the other, their both unique in their own way.

If they ever get the cost/capacity of battery packs to a reasonable level, I'd throw my hat in on electric, but that's not what the O.P was about. And then there's Roper's first steam-cycle. That's a nifty bugger, considering it was over 150 years ago.
